Introduce the too-long 4-hour round trip to school.

Hello!
How long does it take you to go to school?
I heard that the average commuting time for students is 53 minutes.
This time, I’d like to introduce my commute to school, which takes 2 hours, making me one of the longest commuters in the iU.

6:45 Departure from Kimitsu Bus Terminal

My commute to school begins with a trip to the Kimitsu Bus Terminal, about five minutes from my house.
Today’s lecture starts at 9:00 a.m., so I get on the express bus at this time, about two hours before, and head for Tokyo Station!

I got on the highway from the Kimitsu IC.

On the way, we stopped at Kisarazu Hatorino Bus Stop and Kaneda Bus Terminal…

(I didn’t get a good picture of Kanada Bus Terminal🙏)

We’re heading for Tokyo Bay Aqualine!

On a clear day, as you can see here, you get a great view of the city of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji!
Not pictured here, but the Sky Tree was also clearly visible!
And now Umihotaru is getting closer!

From here, it’s a long tunnel.
As we dive down to the bottom of the ocean, our ears often keel over from the difference in air pressure.
.

….
And so, after exiting the Aqua-Line, we are in Tokyo! (Kawasaki, to be exact.)
Haneda Airport welcomes us!

On this day, I was sitting on the right side of the plane, so I could see Terminal 2 of Haneda Airport.
If you’re riding on the other side, you can see the tall control tower of Haneda Airport!

7:55 Arrive at Yaesu Exit of Tokyo Station

After about an hour on the bus, we arrived at our destination, Tokyo Station!
Once we arrived at Tokyo Station, we headed to Otemachi Station.

First, we will enter the Yaesu underground shopping mall.

At this time of night, not many stores are open yet…
Otemachi Station is on the Marunouchi side, so we’re heading that way!

I found these on the connecting path between the Yaesu and Marunouchi sides of the station!
It was kind of fun to read, so if you’re ever in Tokyo Station, take a look!

When I arrived at the Marunouchi exit, I encountered a huge number of commuters.
It’s quite amusing, though I find this scene of everyone heading towards one exit at a fast pace quite daunting!

Exit Tokyo Station from the Marunouchi side and walk a short distance to Otemachi Station.

After walking for about 10 minutes, I arrived at Otemachi Station.
From here, I’ll take the Hanzomon Line all the way to Oshiage!

8:30 Arrival at Oshiage Station

After arriving at Oshiage, we will go up the long escalator under the Skytree.

Once outside, we were greeted by the Skytree!

I’m still overwhelmed by the Skytree no matter how many times I see it!
If you go off the street where the Skytree is…

The atmosphere changes quickly.
There’s something very nice about this good old downtown atmosphere!
We walked through this downtown for about 15 minutes…

8:45 Arrive at iU

We’ve finally arrived at iU!

The above is my route to school.
This is the route I usually take to school, but as I was thinking about what to write about and taking pictures, I realized that I was paying attention to things that I don’t usually pay attention to.
I realized that I was paying attention to things that I wouldn’t normally pay attention to.
I think it was meaningful for me to write this article just to be able to realize such a thing.
I hope you will also try to find new insights in your daily life!
Also.
If you have a longer and more interesting commute than mine, please contact me!
I’ll fly out to interview you!
See you soon!
